Inserting A Webpage Link

Enter the URL of the page the video will appear in. A Drag n Drop checkbox will appear to the right.

If dropping your video in this page click the Drag n Drop checkbox then click MAKE IT. The page will open in a WYSIWYG editor with a video player in the top left. Place the cursor in the page where you want the video to go then resize the video player and drag it to where the cursor is.

If it doesn't look good use Ctrl+Z to undo and try again. If you closed the player you'll need to exit and click MAKE IT again.

If it looks good, save the page. The link to the CDN will appear in the bottom right.

If replacing an existing video in this page click the Search icon (uncheck Drag checkbox to make it appear). VSO will look for any iframes or video tags in the page. If it finds more than one a drop menu will appear. You'll need to select an option and click MAKE IT. If it's not the right option, delete the page & zip from the CDN and select a different option and repeat the process.

Some pages don't use traditional embed tags and won't display the video. Make sure to Test the VSO before Saving it.

Swapping A Video Over

Enter a webpage then click the Search icon

If VSO can't find the existing video it will tell you and if it finds an iframe or video tag in the page it will return the code. If it finds more than one video or iframe in the page a drop menu will replace the Search icon and contain 1, 2, 3, etc for how many instances it found.

You need to select an option and click MAKE IT. You may have to do this a couple of times if your video isn't appearing in the right place.

IMPORTANT:
If replacing a video, clicking MAKE IT will create a page on the CDN and it will appear in the lower right. If the page doesn't contain the right video then delete it and its zip off the CDN or you'll end up with clutter. After deleting the files select a different option and click MAKE IT again.

If none of the drop menu options are inserting the correct video there is one more option left you can try.

This requires you to view the source of the webpage and locate the video (right mouse click on the page and select View Source). This is the underlying code of the page and can look a bit daunting if you're not familiar with HTML but we only want a small part of it so we do a search.

If viewing the entire page source Ctrl+F opens the Find function. If the video you are replacing is YouTube enter youtube.com and search. If it scrolls to it copy the code in the src=" part. You just want the code in between the quote marks. If it's not a YouTube video enter <iframe into the find function. Again, you're after the src="" code in iframe tag.

If you can't find any code resembling the video you want to replace then the video can't be replaced. Sites like news sites, streaming media sites are created in a way that you can't replace the video.

If using Chrome or Firefox, right mouse clicking on the edge of the video player you want your video to appear in may provide the option to Inspect the video element (player). Selecting this will show the source code of the player tag. Copy everything in the src= section and paste it into VSO.

Whether you create videos with software like GO Video Remix, Videlligence, Premiere Pro, Final Cut or Davinci Resolve, VSO allows you to show a prospect what their webpage will look like with your video in it.

Best of all it's pretty easy to use once you get use to it and there's often only a few simple steps involved to creating a page on the CDN.

Quickstart

1. Enter the video url * (webpage field appears)

At this point you decide to whether you'll be adding your video to the page or replacing a video in the page.
                If adding the video, click Drag n Drop. If replacing a video click the Search icon.

4. Click the search icon to locate the code that gets replaced

5. When it appears click MAKE IT and see the result

6. Distribute the link

            For the most part the steps are fairly self explanitory however step 4 is worth exploring in more detail as 
            the search icon may locate multiple iframe sources or potential videos in the target webpage. 
            
            If the webpage contains multiple iframes the
            VSO will place them in a drop menu and name them 1, 2, 3, etc. 
            
            Selecting a different option updates the Replace code. Click MAKE IT to test different options. You may need to do this a few times.  *
            
            If your video isn't playing you will need to locate the correct iframe source and enter it into the replace field. Here's how.
            
                1. Visit the webpage with the video in it
                2. Right mouse click and select View Source 
                3. Press Ctrl+F to open the Find box and type in <ifra then Enter 
                4. Pressing Enter will move to each instance of an iframe, there will only be 2-3 in the page.
                5. Locate the iframe with correct video playing and copy everything in SRC parameter of the tag.
                6. <iframe src="https://the-video...".
                7. Paste this into the Replace field in the VSO and Test.
            
            If you can't find the video link then this page cannot be created using the Replace method. Here you could open
            the WYSIWYG Drag n Drop editor and position the mouse to the right of the video. Then click Delete. This should
            remove the video making it easy to drag the VSO video player into position.

CDN

When you click the MAKE IT button, if you are replacing a video then a html file and zip of the html file are created on the Content Distribution Network. They appear as a link in the lower right and have a blue X next to them.

If you are adding a video, clicking MAKE IT opens the WYSIWYG editor where you size and position the video. In the top right is a blue SAVE button. Click this to save the result to the CDN. It will appear as a link in the lower right but have a yellow X next to it.

The yellow and blue colors indicate whether the video was added or replaced. This only lasts for the session and they will both have a red X next to them when you open the program next time.

It's recommended deleting any unwanted CDN files and zip as you go to avoid clutter.

The feature everyone was after. A way to drop your video into almost any webpage.

Before we go into that, the Info icons and How To Use sections have been updated with new information.

Amazing New Feature

Watch this quick video

A Drag n Drop button now appears after you enter the page URL. When you click it the businesses page is opened in an editor and you can modify the content. Scroll down and place your cursor where you want the video to appear.

In the top left is a resizable video box. After resizing it drag this to where you want the video to appear. Hovering over the red area changes the cursor and dragging the corner changes its height and width. This will become the size of the video.

Click down to lock in the dimensions. Note: It can be touchy.

When happy with the size place your cursor where you want the video to appear and drag the video box onto the cursor. Your video now appears in the page. If it doesn't look right Ctrl+Z undoes this if you need to redo it.

Once happy, click the X in the video box so it disappears and Save. Your page will be the last entry in the CDN. Click it to test and if happy, distribute the CDN link as you need. If you can't use it delete it from the CDN by clicking the colored X next to the file name.

     Note: Try to keep the http protocols consistant.

What do I need to use the VSO?

You need a video. This can be located on YouTube, Vimeo, a hosted MP4 or other 3rd party video platform.

What does VSO do?

The VSO platform presents your videos in landing pages. These can be from our existing templates or it can clone a webpage with a video in it and replace the video with your video. This allows you to show potential clients what their page would look like with your video in it.

A VSO is saved to the VSO CDN. You are then issued with the CDN link and a copy of the landing page for your hard drive. This can be edited and distributed at your leisure.

When do VSO links expire?

At this point links are not set to expire.

Can I insert my video into any webpage?

If the webpage 1) has a media player in it and 2) uses the standard IFRAME or VIDEO tags then you should be able to insert your video in it. Outside of this scenario we can't guarantee the video will display.

Is it OK to publish my VSO's anywhere?

You can providing you're not infringing on copyright, breaching our terms or breaking the law.
